Specifications
The history of this model
Ancient Venetian mirrors owe their invention to the Venetian Vincenzo Redor, who in the mid-16th century perfected and patented the technique of polishing and leveling glass plates. For the first time, it was possible to create mirrors with perfectly flat and regular surfaces, which, combined with the unique transparency of Murano crystal, allowed for the creation of high-quality artifacts.
How is it made?
Every detail and engraving on this Murano mirror is completely handcrafted by our master glassmakers. The floral decorations are available in various colors, all achieved using the "in fogo" technique, which involves mixing colored mineral pigments with the glass matrix, making the transparent color of the glass vivid and unchanging over time. The addition of 24kt gold leaf further embellishes this piece, making it an exceptionally refined wall mirror.
What type of décor is ideal for this Venetian mirror?
Among the most elegant and beautiful antiques for decorating a room are certainly antique mirrors. This Venetian mirror model is perfectly suited to classic and sumptuous furnishings, where solid wood and fine fabrics create a timeless elegance. The richness of decorations on this Murano mirror can easily enhance the charm of antique furniture or create a pleasant contrast in a contemporary setting.
