The story of this model
The layering technique that characterizes this model was used in Murano furnaces mainly between the 19th and 20th centuries to create blown glass with two layers of enamel. In this case, the outer layer is further embellished with delicate air bubbles, a testament to the skilled craftsmanship of our master glassmakers, who have created a piece of great elegance and serenity.
How is Ciotola made?
This Murano glass vase, shaped like a bowl, features a flattened form characterized by a series of radial veins and a texture of air bubbles trapped in the glass. Ciotola has two glass layers of different colors, an inner white layer and an outer amethyst layer, hand-blown into custom molds by master glassmakers working within our Murano furnaces and then allowed to rest in special ovens to ensure a gradual cooling process.
What type of decor is ideal for this Murano vase?
The layered vase represents one of the most characteristic styles of Murano glass production. The mix of shapes and colors of this model evokes a marine atmosphere, creating an extremely suggestive oasis of tranquility. With Ciotola, it will be like having a piece of coral reef in your home, adding natural beauty, refinement, and calm to any space, whether it’s a light-toned living room with minimal lines or a luxurious bathroom with coordinated shades.
