The story of this model
The chao model, designed by Nicola Grandesso, is inspired by the typical shapes of Ming Chinese culture, but all the techniques used to create it come from the tradition of the island of Murano. The combination of these skilled techniques with the refinement of eastern forms has resulted in an extraordinary example of design and artistic contamination, capable of enhancing the beauty of any room.
How is chao made?
Chao is characterized by the union of two hand-blown pieces shaped in special molds by the master glassmakers working in our Murano furnaces. After shaping, the pieces are left to rest in special ovens, ensuring a gradual cooling process. The upper part and the lower part are combined in a skillful interplay of connections, emphasized here by the different colors of the two parts.
What is the ideal type of furniture for this Murano vase?
The chao vase model represents one of the most iconic styles of the far east, but its pure and essential shapes make it easy to match with different types of furniture. It can easily serve as a centerpiece in an elegant dining room or as a complement to a design coffee table in a contemporary living room. Paired with minimalist lines and natural fabrics like linen or cotton, it can create a modern and relaxed atmosphere.
