The story of this model
The polyhedral design of this chandelier was first proposed in the late 1950s. However, it was the famous cascading chandelier designed by Carlo Scarpa for the Expo in Turin Italia 61 that brought it international fame, becoming a symbol of Italian glass art.
How Acheronte is made: This elegant Italian chandelier is crafted with 56 beautiful amber Murano glass polyhedra arranged on multiple levels. Acheronte features a gold and brass metal structure, which can be treated to simulate a vintage effect. The polyhedron is one of the most prestigious Murano glassworking techniques, requiring fine craftsmanship. Its stunning beauty and technical complexity make this chandelier a true masterpiece.
What type of décor is ideal for this Murano chandelier? The polyhedral model represents one of the most iconic styles of our island while being one of the easiest to match with various types of décor. Its elegant yet contemporary lines make it perfect for both traditional and modern interiors. Particularly, the exposed double chain makes it ideal for industrial-style environments, where raw materials like concrete and metal are prominent, complementing vintage and worn elements such as this exclusive chandelier.
